MANAGING STRESS

This is a practical job-related stress workshop that focuses on the two main issues that downgrade quality of worklife: the stress you bring with you to work and the stress created in the work environment. Participants are given self-assessments to measure their level of stress and susceptibility to various stressors. They learn techniques for relaxation, and for developing less stressful relationships on the job. The difference between assertiveness and aggressiveness is discussed, and participants practice stress-reducing assertiveness techniques. The issue of stress management is tied to internal and external customer service.

Audience: Managers, Supervisors, and Customer contact personnel working in a high-pressure environment.
